RESCHEDULED from 10/4 to 10/25: Did you know that Texas has a humongous German influence? Yep, it's true, much of Texas was settled by German immigrants. New Braunfels, Fredricksburg, all around Houston and Austin, lots of German, Czec and Polish influence everywhere, which is why you can get such great pastry, beer and SAUSAGE, which gets a Texas twist as part of any real Texas BBQ offering. It's October, and yes, it's LA, but so what? It's time for BBQ and Beer. You can call it Oktoberfest if you like. Join us for brisket, sausage, chicken and veggies with all the trimmings, including my homemade BBQ sauce (or SAWCE, as I like to say). We're going to have kegs of both German and local beers, and we're going to throw down like we did for the Crawfish Boil. And of course, there will be wine, some of it German, some of it not. We're going to have a little silent auction to benefit our friends at the Feral Cat Caretaker's Coalition. They were unable to host their annual shindig this year, so we're going to give them the help we can to continue their great work trapping, spaying and neutering LA's feral cats. It's thankless, but necessary work, and we appreciate it. And yes, that is our personal grill, and yes, we will be using it. Get ready.
